I have the same problem! I think you must have to have an engineer's or rocket scientist to figure it out!! But it looks so easy on the other video!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Ok so i see that you posted this awhile ago so I am sure that you are a ruffling pro by now! lol (unless you gave up!) lol I have a pattern that is telling me to use a 3:1 ratio...... HUH???? I dont know which number to set in on (on the top thing) Hope that makes sense and you can help! Getting pissed at this thing! Thanks

Okay well you are doing better than me. I finally attached my ruffler foot but my needle is not lined up right. I AM SO LOST..Help

you need to adjust it on the top 1-5 is ruffle 6-12 is pleat and their is another setting up there that is straight stitch. I guess thats what its on. I just got a ruffler foot and read that but your better than me cuz I can't get it on. How did you do that? help me
You have to feed the material between the two really thin pieces of metal one has little teeth on it and you kinda go with the material from front to back until it slides in there.

This sounds like something that would happen to me if I got a ruffler.... Have you figured this out yet.... I'd really like to know, because soon I'm going to purchase one..... thanks,

yeah, its basically what everyone said, just force the fabric under the thing with teeth. its a little bit of a pain to use, but so much more easier than hand ruffling. it does use more fabric than hand ruffling though.
