How a simple innovation to the way cooking stoves are used in Pakistan could be the global fix, saving tens of thousands of lives, protecting vast tracts of forests, and avoiding thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions. The project, which has won the prestigious Ashden Award, is a joint effort between the United Nations Development Programme, the Aga Khan Planning and Building Services, and the Global Environment Facility.
