Hurricane Wilma over Miami

Footage of Hurricane Wilma.
The first part is before the eye passed over and the second part is after the eye passed over.
Some time in between the two parts is when the 112mph wind speeds occured.
Tamiami trail is SW 8th Street and I am on SW 17th Terrace, so you can say that I got some of the 112mph winds.
The first part was filmed outside on my porch and the second part was filmed thru the peep hole in the front door.
By the way the winds were more or less heading North East.

the reason most are ok durring a hurricane as opposed to a tornado is warning time. tornados are without warning. before radar and doppler, hurricanes killed people by the thousands. if anyone drove through homestead after andrew, it was wiped off the planet

@pploveme223 I'll take a Hurricane over any Tornado at any time at any day of the week per any day of the year.

If you loose "everything" during a Hurricane it was most likely a "tornado inside of it" Did you perhaps see the last two tornadoes to strike in AL and MO? Kinda wiped them away with 1500 missing without warning... In a hurricane you don't have 1500 missing and they were given SEVERAL warnings to get out. NO OFFENSE TO THE TORNADO VICTIMS - I Don't wish that on anyone

One of the coolest things to do in those storms is release helium balloons and watch what they do.

me and my family moved in florida ironically in 1991 just before andrew ,,

I was living in Miami when this happen. I remember we were out of power for 17-F*cking days! That's when I decided I had enough and needed to move up north to avoid all of this inefficiency by the local authorities and FPL. Oddly enough I moved to Florida in the winter of 1992 the same year Andrew hit.
