Some (hopefully enjoyable/amusing) fluff from Washington National Cathedral.

Raffaele Manari was an instructor of sacred music at the Pontifical Institute in Rome at the beginning of the 20th century. His claim to fame is principally to have been Fernando Germani's organ teacher, for whom he wrote this cutesy little piece.

David is the winner of the St Albans International Organ Competition 2011. He is also winner of the Miami International Organ Competition 2010, the Mader Memorial Organ Competition 2010 (LA) and the AGO National Competition in Organ Improvisation 2010. He is a student of David Higgs at the Eastman School of Music.

  • Interesting piece, that you marvelously play on this great Skinner: can't ask for more ! :-)

  • Excellent pedal work going on here!

  • Mesmerizing! Fantastic!

  • Outstanding virtuosity! I remember watching/listening to Virgil Fox do the Middleshulte pedal solo back in the 50's and this performance of the Manari demonstrates every bit as much technique. Bravo! I will follow your career with great interest.

  • Wow! I know this piece. Hommage to Raffaele Manari ! You are a Great organist!
