You may now all officially thank us for Alkaline Trio's decision to return to their "punk roots". And thanks for the make-up comments. Those of you who talked shit obviously are not familiar with the history of the trio, how often they have worn make up on stage, or what ICP looks like. Losers :)

They gave out the sheet music to this song and wanted fans to submit their versions via YOUTUBE without having heard the song before. The people who "won" had awful entries. Well, one of them was good, but just one. They originally said one winner but awarded five, haven't heard anything since about it.

p.s. We then basically lip synced it. But we're really playing. Those headphones I have on have the track going through them so I stay in time.

We recorded this all on a digital 4 track. I ran two overhead mics into it and then electric drums. So I had electric drums and real cymbals. Then we nixed the scratch guitar tracks and recorded real guitars, bass, and vocals, then backing vocals. Some light mixing. Considering we did it on a digital 4 track I think it came out really well. We were listening to a lot of the Maybe I'll Catch Fire record.
