Vortex - How Many Will Be Saved?

At the end of our time .. each of us will be in Heaven or Hell. That's it .. pure fact. HOW MANY will be saved has been a question for a long time.

More people are in hell than in Heaven? I have difficulty believing this. I think these saints are talking about people who go directly to Heaven. I believe the other 93% go to Purgatory!

@GregariousGorilla We are not going to know, are we? Should we take the chance? I'm not going to. I am going to work out my salvation with "fear and trembling", in the secure hope that Christ wills all men be saved. Christ Himself reveals that lukewarm chrisitans are abhorrent to Him, and he cannot tolerate their vapid moral laziness. He called them "scublah" i believe, which means "dung".

No offence - I will take the opinion of the popes and doctors of the faith over yours.

@havock89 no offence taken - I think that since people are in purgatory for very long periods of time, it would seem that more people are in hell than in heaven because a lot of the people who are going to heaven are in purgatory. What the doctors of the church say do not seem to contradict this.

@ndzoko Yeah you're right I i made a mistake in the spelling. And what was your response? ANOTHER ONE! Another fallacy of reductio ad absurdum! You should be less concerned about correcting people small spelling mistakes and forming a cogent argument.

For the ignorant, stupid or mocking fools - The holy spirit doesnt guide every action of our lives. The church teaches that our lives are ours to live. We choose to be guided by what we know of goodness.

@ndzoko Logical fallacy of reducto ad absurdium - extending a persons position to rediculous degrees and then criticising the result. The bible isnt the rulebook of christianity, its the church's core teaching text. Its how the church uses the stories in the bible that is important, not the acts themselves which you wrongly presume are prescriptive.

Now the catecism if the catholic church IS the prescriptive teachings of the church. Try that on for size, bigot.
