Improvised, then cut, and modified to create a cohesive song from 30 minutes of footage. The only sections that were modified were transition sections and the initial minute where I added some dissonant minor melody notes to give it more of an edge. I suppose the gist is obscured beauty revealed. In some ways, that's what this channel is about. Many of the things I like about myself are things I hide or things that people can't see like playing the piano.

The title refers to the Italian word for beautiful, bella. I like the fact that the subjects for Da Vinci's work are largely unknown, most infamously for the Mona Lisa. Obscura refers to a camera obscura. Although "obscura" is translated better as "dark", something that is obscure or obscured is hard to see or unknown. I like meshing different languages together because I'm weird and I like linguistics.

The sketches are by Leonardo Da Vinci.
The paintings are by Tamara de Lempicka.

  • Verrrrrrrrrrrrry nice. And wonderful artwork to complement. I dig the dissonance, especially in the beginning.
