Tum jo mil gaye ho - 1973 film Hanste Zakhm. Singer: Mohammed Rafi. Lyrics by Kaifi Azmi. Music by Madan Mohan. Stars: Priya Rajvansh, Navin Nischol, Balraj Sahni, Nadira. Producer-Director: Chetan Anand. The legendary singer Mohammed Rafi (1924-1980) still continues to entertain millions around the world. Surely, he justly and rightly deserves more honours for his selfless contributions to the Bollywood film and entertainment industry. Under-rated, under-paid Mohammed Rafi was honoured with the "best singer of the millennium" by Hero Honda and Stardust magazine in Mumbai on 07 January 2001, over twenty years after Rafi passed away in July 1980. There would be no film songs or ghazals, singers or even screenplays and superstars without lyricists and writers. Why not give full due credit to the poor lyricists first, and also to the comparatively super-rich music composers, producers and directors? Only the best lyricists, musicians and singers perform for http://www.youtube.com/spsyed live shows, mehfils, ghazal nights...

  • Priya Rajvansh was a cute actress who despite of being talented did not get much success in films as she was deserving. Her dialogue delivery in "Hanste zakham" was awesome especially in Police station scene. I watched this movie many times. It is the finest film of her career. Her role in "Kudrat" movie was also brilliant. it is sad to know that this beautiful actress had tragic end in real life.

Thanks Spsyed for this unforgettable song.

  • @missperfect2010ful , thank you for adding additional background info related to Priya. Thanks again for taking the time to write.

  • Rafi sahib passed away 30 years ago (30 July 1980), but his legend lives on as his voice still continues to entertain and amaze millions around the world. No one replace humble, modest and pious Rafi sahib who changed Indian film playback and music industry forever. He is a book on how to sing. His playback voice changed the fate of many Indian film actors and made them superstars of their time. I feel honoured to have met him, be his family's neighbour in London-UK. RIP Mohammed Rafi.
