U.S. Senator Mark Udall, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, questioned top military and diplomatic officials about President Obamas new strategy for Afghanistan. The hearing was the first public opportunity for lawmakers to ask detailed questions of the Administration following President Obamas announcement that he will add 30,000 new troops in Afghanistan in preparation for a transition to Afghan authority and military withdrawal from the country beginning in July 2011.

  • This war has been going on for WAY too long.

    At a cost to the taxpayer of $1,000,000 per soldier per year...there are 100,000 soldiers slated for Afganistan alone.

    NO MORE....END THESE DAM WARS RIGHT NOW AND START HELPING OUR OWN PEOPLE....UNLESS YOU"D LIKE US TO STOP PAYING TAXES AND HELP OURSELVES????
