The Nice 'n' Lite Upright Vacuum Cleaner by LG

This one's pretty rare here in the USA! LG doesn't sell vacuum cleaners in this country (too much competition, perhaps?) but does in the United Kingdom and in other parts of the world. This is one of the bagged uprights they offered in the UK featuring on-board tools, a 1400W motor, and automatic carpet height adjustment. It's a pretty basic cleaner that does a decent carpet cleaning job: I have, however, seen machines from both sides of the Atlantic that can (and do) do better. It is lightweight, reasonably quiet, and does have acceptable attachment suction so overall it's not a bad machine!

UPDATE, April 4, 2010: I haven't been able to verify this with LG USA, but according to an article I recently read in the publication "Homeworld Business" LG will soon be introducing two high-end upright vacuum models here in the USA (if they haven't already done so) to compete with the likes of premium models from Sebo and Miele! I doubt that this video -- or the existence of my cleaner here in the USA -- had anything to do with the company's decision, but I'm certainly pleased to see that they've decided to enter the floor care industry here after all! :)
