THE JURASSIC PARK franchise has been in a state of fossilisation for nearly a decade.

But it's not extinct. Director Joe Johnston has now confirmed he is set to return for a fourth film to kick off a new dino-trilogy.

Johnston, who helmed 2001's Jurassic Park 3, had last year said he was keen to return for more of the monster adventures.

The filmmaker, who also directed Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, The Rocketeer, Jumanji, Hidalgo and next month's horror remake The Wolfman, has now told Box Office: "Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV.

"And it's going to be unlike anything you've seen. It breaks away from the first three - it's essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It's going to be done in a completely different way.

"If you think of the first three as a trilogy, number four would be the beginning of a second trilogy. If they keep working - and if audiences keep going to them - there's no reason why there wouldn't be. We just want to make them justified in their own right.

"We don't want to make sequel after sequel just because there's a market for it. We want to tell different, interesting stories. You don't want to just sell hamburger."

Bring on the dinosaurs. Let's hope it's better than Johnston's Jurassic Park 3.

@flyingemo520 also this why i think they added spinosoures because its a rare dinosour was found in egypt the known bones of it was destroyed in the 2 world war there hasnt ben another one found sence then i have a hitnch where one could be got few more years to wait wen im a paleontoligiest

The reason for the 3rd logo they used the spinasoris is because the  T-Rex wasn't nun it only one part but it died the spinasoris was the main Dino
