This is a lesson in why you should never warp to a planet at 0m when you're trying to escape the wrath of a determined pirate.

The opponent had a very strong active shield tank which made this conflict rather epic. My punisher was running the popular 'bleeder' setup which can be found on the eve-online.com forums.

Enjoy.

  • whats the best fittings for a punisher

  • Surprisingly I still fly these for fun on my alt after all these years. :)

I use 3x DLP II's, nos, AB, scram, DC, 200mm RT plate, heat sink, rep. Rigs: current router, trimark, energy collision.

I haven't cross trained for autocannons, but if you do I highly recommend trying 400mm plate + MAPC + 3 trimarks.

  • I used the bleeder fit then i got owned lol.

I went up against this t2 gallente drone ship,so he jammed me, so icudnt warp out...his t2 drones raped my shields and armor, and i was out lmfao!

This is only good on none drone ships lmfao...

    or just T1 drones.

  • As a general rule of thumb, T2 light drones will destroy frigates very fast. From your description it sounds like you were up against an Ishtar, which also has a huge bonus to drone damage. You need to choose your fights carefully.

Also this punisher setup I used in this vid is over 2 years old now, lots of things have changed.

  • @Qwerty48121 well 1 this video was made in 07 and I dont even know if nos worked the same back then (dont remember when they changed them). but secondly if your basing your comment on current, then you DONT want recharge for a bleeder since the nos only takes them as low as your cap is, so you want it to bleed dry on you as well. though vs the missles if your reps die from no cap then your done. so meh.

  • WIN

  • the entire point of bleeder is to keep up a tank with reps and all until his capacitor runs out and all his systems shut down where u can just pick at him slowly... thats why you don't put plates on that drain ur cap and tats why u have 3 recharge...

  • I loved flying anything frigate wise. Leet frigs too. and in all my time in Eve and the Original Curse Alliance days my fav frigs to fly was the Punisher and my Crow. Before the time of leet frigs I would fly Griffens. I had a really nice blaster set up for the Raptor but then CCP Devs nerfed Tech II blaster....the Raptor became useless again.

  • Well i've learned a lot about pvping. And now i like to solo pvp in my punisher.

I was just waiting in a belt in bosena killing some battleships and then a fag rifter and fag stabber come in and scram me, i take them both single handedly with x3 DLP t2, neut, web, scram, 200mm plate, energized t2 plate, rep, and a heat sink. I was promoted that day :) And i was so proud. So much adrenaline.

  • "the popular 'bleeder' setup" with 3 lasers and 3 cap rechargers?.....

  • nice kill

  • lol drakes run level 4 missions quite nicely, caracal yeah it can run a level 3 mission but pvp that takes a certain fitting skill, which this ship obviously didn't have.
