  • My dude,

I guess you turned me on to this region and grape (through the daily grape taste along) after I watched this video. I have been flipping for this region and turning people on to it ever since. It's spectacular!

I stumbled on the video as it was listed as a related video for the one I was watching (I'm running out; make more!!!) so I rewatched. Amazingly, I had the Petalos about three weeks ago. Fantastic!

Thanks for supplanting some of your passion inside me.

    Yours,

    B.S.

  • I just had a "Dominio de Tares Mencia Baltos 2005'. Scored 90 points Robert Parker. At first, a really funky nose. Almost made me think it had gone bad. So I let it decant 20 minutes and still a little funk on the nose but opened up considerably. Let it air for another 30 minutes and boy was I surprised. This wine altered more with time than any other wine I've ever had. Bacon pepper fruit nose, beautiful plum dried prune aftertaste. This was my first mencia. I love it!

  • Great, I love El Bierzo, one of the most beautiful and breathless regions in Spain.

  • Pepperoni, green peppers, jalapeno and capers!
