An Indiana fisherman has proof that Asian carp are alive and well in the Wabash River. Brendan Kearns videotaped hundreds of fish jumping on the river earlier this month and posted the video to his website. The video shows the fish leaping out of the water as Kearns\' boat passes with some landing onboard. The Department of Natural Resources spokesman says the Asian silver carp is known for its jumping ability and can be dangerous to humans who can be struck as they leap. The state plans to erect a mesh barrier to prevent the species from leaving the Wabash.
