@switzerlicious 66% is kind of on the low side as in general around 70-80% of penalty kicks are successful. BUT you can't yet make any kinds of basis on the success rate based on 3 tries. That would be ridiculous. Besides, the only failed attempt so far was because of Pires pretty much failing to touch the ball and hence a shot at goal never came making that attempt as credible as someone failing to hit the ball at all in a normal penalty. I stand by this being viable til being proven otherwise.

Exactly. 66% is not a good percentage for a penalty kick.

@switzerlicious Seems to work pretty well as I've been this tried 3 times and 2 times it has succeeded. The only time it failed was with Henry and Pires when Pirer laughably failed. (seriously, ridiculously badly). The one with Johan Cruyff is the best one as the defenders don't react to it at all. Obviously becomes harder if the defenders are ready to run towards the ball right away like here, but still a viable option imo.

@pigoderpcfreak The penalty must only be kicked forward, not necessarily shot, as long as the ball moves toward the goal side. You can't directly pass to a teammate but you can just tap it forward, making it like a set for another player's shot. Read up on it before opening your mouth and calling other people idiots.
However, players cannot enter the half circle and box until the ball is kicked, and it seems that the scorer in this video runs in just before the PK taker touches the ball.
