Wow, I'm a complete skeptic about this stuff, but I definitely felt a cool flow of energy coming into my face from watching this guy and felt very spaced out for a few seconds.

David's teaching does not exclude sadhana or "hard work." Actually, David encourages those who are moved to practice sadhana, as long as it is performed with sincerity. The emphasis, however, is on the benefit that is freely available through "satsang" with him.
