Alan Rhoda discusses how God's ability to change his mind does not change that his nature is essentially immutable at the open theology "Answering the Critics" panel at the close of the Open Theology and Science conference at Azusa Pacific University, April 12, 2008.

  • Okay his delivery really has nothing to do with his argument. Your two sentences seem disconnected and I am unsure as to why you feel the need to criticize that, as I am sure his speaking ability is not the reason he is on that panel.

God's nature never changes...okay, fine. When dealing with spiritual matters the word "nature" can be a little etherial. I think the point Dr. Rhoda was making is that God's character never changes, which leaves open just about everything else. (Prophecy, etc.)

  • He stumbles over his words and too many uhs and ums. God's nature never changes.
