@Beccathepromomami You should applaud him and the show for doing the black face scene in "My Kentucky Home." They do not pull punches, nor attempt to apologise, politicise, or white wash their portrayal of the period: it was (and still is in some circles) an open practice and, whether or not one finds it offensive, to refuse to act it or to write it because one is concerned about political correctness or sensitivities does an injustice to the audiences' intelligence.

I totally have a crush on him.

Wow, John Slattery is hot!
-
Everyone looks banging, even out of character.

he's a silver foxx and i love his character on mad men (the horse-riding scene was hilarious) but i'll always think of him as the asshole victor from desperate housewives

my favorite character in mad men, roger sterling!
Elisabeth looks GREAT! And I love Roger, he's a silver fox, he's hilarious, even when he made a complete ASS of himself in My Kentucky Home (and I'm Black, so it's official, we can all laugh/gasp at the blackface's absurdity).

I realized that this actor played a similar role in the excellent HBO series K Street, a fictional docudrama including James Carville and Mary Matalin in fictional roles. This series preceded Mad Men temporally but is in some ways a worthy thematic successor to it. As someone now in his 50s who grew up in that era in the role of one of the kids in this series with a Dad very similar to Draper, I am profoundly struck by Mad Men and the era it so authentically evokes. Good Job!
