Great tone!
But what are you settings for Let It Loose? I can't get my Univibe to nail it...

@CarvinTone Aww, don't mention the Pickle Vibe now! It took me all night to figure out weather I wanted this or the Pickle Vibe... Now I can't decide again.
Thanks a lot.

Dude I had the Lovepedal PickleVibe and the T-Rex Viper Vibe they are tweaked phasers not real Vibe circuits. The MicroVibe is a real photocell circuit and you can get these puppies mod'ed by JHS for a few bucks, vastly improves them. The real Vibes have a more organic and responsive feel there is a difference. The new tech sounds fine and it works for an easy vibe like tone but it is not the real beasty. I just got the Fulltone DejaVibe and I am well pleased with it so far.

@CarvinTone The Pickle Vibe is awesome! Got to play one. The thing is, it doesn't use photocells and a lamp like the real Univibe or the Micro Vibe. The Pickle is more of a variation of the Vibe circuit and is really swirly sounding. Still they're both great!

Let it loose is on a leslie.
Comparing the two in such a manner wont even get you close...

@gangtwanger Ive had the pleasure of using a KR Megavibe and i love the sound that comes out of that unit but the holy grail of vibes would have to be the Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe, as you probably already know Roger Mayer built and tweaked pedals for Jimi Hendrix so the Voodoo Vibe is virtually the same vibe unit that jimi used. If its good enough for hendrix I think its good enough for us haha

Yes, the Microvibe is true-bypass. IMO, it's still the best bet for $150 or less for a working musician. The Pickle-Vibe sounds great, but no external pot for adjusting intensity, and that's a big selling-point with me. The KR Megavibe is the holy grail of them all, but there's a rather-long waiting-list, and I can never seem to hold onto $300 for that long, so until I get richer, it's the Microvibe for me. Check out the PGS video. Gives a better idea of what it can do.

The Pickle-Vibe is supposedly a tweaked phaser, but that's not what bothers me. I don't like the fact that it's only got an internal trimpot for adjusting intensity, and not an external one like the Microvibe (and I adjust the intensity on mine a lot). The MV actually does get those lush vibe tones that Mr. Black was saying it CAN'T get (Maybe try a Strat next time, huh?). Just watch the PGS video. I still say it's the best option for $150 or less (and I'm a harsh vibe-critic).

I really wish I could thumbs up this a few times. I made the regional dialect argument very early on in the GMD craze and then gave up and resorted to just rating down any comment that even implied or joked about him being Jack Black lol
Really though, isn't it damn cool that he is putting up these vids? I couldn't afford all these pedals to try! Thank you! Usually rich famous guys do NOTHING FOR FREE. This much time spent shows true addiction. Ya coulda made a cool 2 mil on a quick cameo or two instead! This proves gear junkies are all the same deep down lol. Good tone is good tone rich or poor. Guess I'm a real fan now!

@blahman178 This IS NOT JB I have no idea what makes 98% of guitar players so stupid. They are supposed to have better ears. It's called regional dialect, like JB is posting a 1000 vids on Youtube. Idiots.
Check out the Lovepedal Pickel Vibe it's a new tech, and sounds better than the VL. Also very small. Amazing for the tone coming out of it.
