  • The purpose of God (as a human institution) is to justify human actions. To engender a sense of patriotism and reverence for human authority.

  • You are splitting hairs. All that matters is that Jesus/Zeus/whoever seconds everything the powerful say and do. I have always held that "God" is three things easily memorable: Guns, Oil and Drugs.

  • @perdondaris actually his name is Yeshua and it has nothing to do with Zeus, and the only that they have in common is nothing, Early Jews where forced to comprimse their faith with pagan faith on pains on death hence now we have Roman catholicism/ pagan christianity. Judeo christianity and modern chrisitanity which is pagan r two completely different faiths

  • The reason I say he failed is that the world still runs the same way it did after he died. Politicians still make wars based in their God's name. They just changed the name from Zeus to Jesus.

  • @Mr88playmaker - You really need to lay off the FOXNews and read a book.

  • @perdondaris - Failed? I'm no Christian but Christ did not fail.

  • @Mr88playmaker National Socialism is quite the opposite of Socialism. You should learn more kid and fuck around some where else.

  • Viva a revolução!

  • Jesus wasn't anything in particular (he contradicts himself so often that to attribute any genius to what he says is farcical). But as an individual his nostrums make for very bad behavior whatever economic system you support. Giving everything you have to the poor (which anyone is free to do) is a bad idea if you have a family to support. Jesus tried to change the world. He failed. It's time to move on.

  • If everyone was just like Jesus what kind of government would we need?

If everyone was just like Satan what kind of government would we get?

Since Jesus was not a proponent of physical violence, I believe he would have

agreed with Hayek in his book " Against Collectivist Means, Not Socialist Ends
