  • i just read that tito lara passed!!!

may you rest in peace and i'll forever be full of gratitude for you contribution to our wonderful culture. may God be with your family!!!

  • I also heard that today, it is very sad news and he will be missed sorely.

  • I'll try to keep my answer short Juanitotrucupey -- in parts of Trinidad you can still find elderly people who know some Spanish. Trinidad was a Spanish colony until about 1797, and a large part of the population came from Venezuela throughout the 1800s. I would not say that, overall, a lot of Trinidadians can speak Spanish. You tend to find most of them in north eastern Trinidad and in villages in central Trinidad. Also, even those who cannot speak Spanish, sing it for Parang season

  • The title of this song is "La Gaita."

  • THe music of the Lara Brothers is awesome! Parang is so good!

  • real cocoa payol .....I love the Lara Brothers !!!! Trini Legends !!!
