In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • All that was missing was someone shouting, "Burn!" at the end. But yeah, it's always puzzled me why Las Vegas and Phoenix ever became as big as they did. IMO, LV should have kept its character from the mid-twentieth century (or at least evolved more gracefully) instead of trying to become this weird mishmash of adult theme park and huge, sprawling, supposedly livable and family-friendly city. And @ choatican, Texas has been having huge drought problems lately last time I checked.

  • Whatever make Pittsburghers feel better. All that water hasn't helped the last 50 years. And the Sun Belt from Texas to Florida has a ton of water.

  • He's all, "Fuck Phoenix, Pittsburgh is where it's at." You may now move on to a different TED talk. You're welcome.
