pctr is all about sharing personal photography in an environment that encourages daily, quality content.
A problem many photographers face (especially the ones just getting started) is quickly getting their pictures out on the web for simple and intuitive viewing by everyone.
pctr solves this problem by providing a minimal, simple interface for uploading and viewing pictures. There is only one page, and the picture currently being displayed fills the screen.
Upon upload, user has the ability to name the picture (name will be embedded into pic). Users browse through photography by using the left and right arrow keys. Downloading a picture is a click on the down arrow key, and flagging the up arrow key.
pctr encourages the notion of personal photography, much like Flickr, but the focus is on daily, fresh content. One picture on one page at one time. Unlike Tumblr, pctr doesn't encourage "reblogs" and social abstractions over content. The uploader has the ability to "annotate" his name by labeling anything seen fit right onto the image, encouraging clear original photographers.
Get a better idea of what pctr is like by visiting the prototype website.
Thank you,
Mark
