If you know sino culture well, you would know japanese culture is nothing compare with chinese. Japanese culture seems very superficial and blended with modern beautified. Well, if you think this song is "ancient" chinese culture, then you're wrong again. This is original a pop song from Chinese 90s singer, and this is the traditional cover of it. It's totally the hard work of modern Chinese people. Ya , by those people you considered as "communists"

I completely agree with you. Something about this culture, music makes me feel at ease and happy. Whenever I have time, I try to read up on the culture. Even though I'm Indian, I am definitely getting married in a Chinese garden :) It too face the same problems of being judged. May it be this, or my love for anime... most of my friends (although I love them all) don't share the same interests I do and call me strange. It's nice to find someone who feels the same way as I do about this music :)
