  • Just a quick note. That thing on the top of your camera is a infra red flask sync isn't it? Isn't the SB-800 meant to be wireless with no need of anything else other than the camera?

  • I use two methods to fire my strobes. One with the manufactures CLS ie. Command unit SU-800 and also PocketWizards.

  • do you have a return adress lable on your Pocket Wizard? I thought i was the first to do that..

  • Just company name and phone number.

  • sure you can. the model doesn't know what looks good. you tell her to relax and she changes her posture. then you tell her not to move so she doesn't move out of it. simple direction from a photographer to achieve the look the photographer is trying to get. models don't dictate the shoot, the photographer does. it's not the model behind the viewfinder.

  • This shoot was not all that it could be. The base exposure should have been calculated off of the computer monitor that the girl was looking at, so the image on the monitor was exposed properly. Then transpose that aperture and shutter speed to the camera and make adjustments on the flashes to balance to that exposure. Then you would have the exact same photo, except the computer screen would not have been washed out and white. Yes! It can be photoshop'd, but...

  • Can you raise your fanny up for a moment loooooooooool

  • i bought the SB-800 and i have a question to ask, i am mostly shooting birds. I am about 10 feet away from the bird and teh background is another 15 feet further, When i take the picture, my background is always very dark or black, can anybody know what i am doing wrong ? Thank's

  • Telling someone to relax & then telling them to "hold really still" in the same breath isn't really that useful. You can't use a model like clay.

  • I love it

  • it is but you get better range and speed using radio flash controls

  • the D3 doesn't have built in flash. You'd need either SU-800, SB-800, or 900.

  • Read the manual.
