The Ultimate Air Race Challenge began in China during 2010. At over 500 KPH, a mere 10 feet from the ground combined with fierce aerobatics, the Ultimate Air Race Championship has something for everyone. Set up like a Formula 1 Auto Race, the UARC features aerobatic flying by world class pilots combined with tight "wingtip to wingtip" racing action. Unlike other pylon air races, the UARC is closed course racing with multiple aircraft at the same time. More than just a competition won by the plane which has the biggest engine the Ultimate Air Race Championship pits pilot and machine against each other in a battle of wits, skill and daring. Pilots Dave Riggs and Chris Rounds lead the American team and are coming back for the 2011 Season starting in Camarillo California Aug 20-21.
