@kramd1 What? You don't think the Natives were smart enough to have had such a civilization? You are just pissed that this is coming from a non-Mormon expert.

Anyone who looks at wikipedia as a source of reliable source of info is an idiot. Anyway, many Native American tribes were thought to be of Hebrew origin, especially the Cherokee because many aspects of their culture are similar to Hebrew culture. But who the heck knows for sure?

And then retarded Liberals came along and destreoyed the calender and everything else that made any sense.

oh well if wikipedia says its a hoax then it must be(sarcasm).....not saying this isn't a hoax, but I am saying wikipedia isnt exactly an awesome source of reliable info

@ChuckEufarly Who are "they"? Also, what is your definition of "savage"?

Very interesting. Considering that the writing has been called "block Hebrew" or Phonecian, perhaps there is another explanation. The mound builders may have, in fact, been anctedeluvian Hebrews or Phonecians and the Hopewells and all the other "native Americans" were later arrivals who came to the Americas after the flood.

obscure, desperate, questionable evidence.

The truth is out there, they just didn't want us to know the natives were not savages.
The Wikipedia article for the Newark Holy Stones indicates that they were revealed to be a hoax almost as soon as they were "discovered".
Interesting teaser vid, though. Maybe I'll purchase the DVD.

True, they were summarily declared a hoax at the time, but their origins and authenticity is still being debated in archaeological circles. A conference on these stones just last year (2009) is evidence that these stones cannot simply be dismissed. There is too much conflicting evidence for a definitive conclusion, one way or the other.
