Red Light District 22

My 100th video and first one for this year!!! Happy New Year to all!

Kevin's Tahoe pulled up to a house. Nick got out and waited for Kevin to unlock the door. It was a decent sized house for a family. Nick wondered who Kevin live with to have that big of a house. The door opened to a dark room. Once the lights were on, Nick saw only a mess of cloths and empty bottles of scotch that cluttered the living room.

"Do you live by yourself?" Nick couldnt help but to ask.

Kevin sighed before he answered. "Yep." He hinted at ashamement in his tone. Nick hated to see such a nice house in such a mess. Kevin just tossed his jacket to the couch.

Nick wondered around the room. He came acrossed a mantel full of memories. It had pictures of a loving family. Nick picked Kevin out of the bunch. He had his arms wrapped around a pretty woman with flowing blonde hair. She held a young child in her hands and another stood beside her and in front of Kevin. They looked so happy together. Kevin moved to stand behind Nick. "That's Hannah. She was the love of my life. My high school girlfriend." Nick peered up into Kevin's eyes. They sparkled at the memory. "I asked her to marry me on the night of prom." He paused.

"What happened?" Nick was moved by this story of Kevin's.

"We got married and things changed." He got quieter. "We changed. We brought two loving children into the world. They're the best anyone could ever ask for."

Kevin was so in love with this girl. Nick couldnt imagine a reason they would have for splitting. "Where is she now?"

"Living it up with a doctor on the rich side of town."

Nick bit his lip. That was harsh. How could she do something like that to a guy like Kevin. He wasn't a bad guy. "I'm sorry." Nick muttered.

Kevin ignored it. "The couch is free for you to sleep on." He turned around and tried to clean the stuff he had shoved on it. After a minute of not getting anywhere with the mess, he turned back to Nick. "Sorry. I don't think that its the best to sleep on. Would you mind sharing with me?" Nick shock his hear no. "Of coarse you don't. You sleep with guys for a living." He turned back to trying to clean the couch off.

Regardless of the truth in that statement, it still pain Nick to hear it. He sat and watched Kevin fail at trying to clean it off. "Kevin," Nick spoke quietly.

"Yeah?" Kevin turned to Nick.

"I know you probably don't like me right now, but..." Nick began, but was cut off.

"Its not that I don't like you. I just dont understand you."

"What do you mean?"

"When we hung out that night at the bar, I thought you were a pretty cool guy. Now I dont know what to think."

Nick was again hurt by this. He wasn't at all proud of what did in his life. "I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate everything youre doing for me. I really wasn't expecting this."

Kevin was caught off guard by this. He wasn't expecting Nick to be so thankful. Most teenagers wouldn't be. He figured that this was the reason he did chose to help him out in the first place. "You're welcome." He answered. "Forget it." He told the couch. "Can I trust you to not do anything if I let you sleep in my bed?" Kevin had to ask.

Nick rolled his eyes. "I dont know. If I get too excited..." Nick joked.

Kevin pushed Nick in his arm and Nick laughed. "You want something to eat?"

They made their way into the kitchen. Nick sat on the stool while Kevin dug through the fridge. Nick was used to having to make all the food in his place because none of the kids could cook. It was odd to have Kevin make a sandwich for himself and Nick. Nick gladly accepted it and the glass of milk that Kevin offered. They ate their food and talked and laughed. It seemed so much like the scene at the bar last week. Nick didn't want to have to leave Kevin like he did then, but what other choice would he have?

Well, I know Joe isn't the best person and isn't really caring, but still, I like him and Nick together... I mean, is horrible how he makes Nick sell himself and all, but I guess it have some explanation, it have to. I just hope he stop doing it with Nick before it's too late.
