This is a video of a game called "Brain Freeze" and was developed using XNA in just 30 hours at a coding competition in Singapore. The code-a-thon is an annual event hosted by Nanyang Polytechnic and this year was run just before Games Convention Asia (GCA) and at the same location.

The creators of this game are a team of 5 university students (including me) called "pi.X.N.A" and were given a theme - "Brain Training" - and then expected to work for 30 hours straight to develop a prototype for a game.

We ended up winning the prize for "Excellence in Visual Arts" as judged by employees of game-related companies such as EA and LucasFilm.

  • Hey good work guys. Finally got to see the team that won the comp in Singapore (rmit newsletter). I'm a 3rd year g.g. design student myself - Fabio kept on mentioning (not to mention the giant cheque!) Good luck next year with your major projects
