Yeah, good point.
LASIK is a common cause of dry eye for many patients, as it's not a surprise that severing the fine corneal nerves reduces baseline tear production over the short term (at least, until nerves regenerate).
But even there, all LASIK patients will experience increase symptoms over the short-term, and possibly even long term: there's some question if nerves EVER regenerate completely to pre-op functionality, and LASIK can push a borderline dry eye over the edge.
