  • Jimmi..I remember this place very well. I was talking to Scheebo from The Stilletos the other day ( who STILL lives right around the corner from ole CB'S . Though it is not the same neighborhood ) And we were talkin bout these days and Laughing Dogs came up somehow in the conversation. My friends Danny & Barbra opened the health food store there (Our Daily Bread I think ) in that building. That studio was a great room with so many people jammin there . Your favorite Park Slope dry cleaner...CK

  • CuzinK,

Thanks for the memories and local history!

  • Great times. this video captures a time in NYC that is so so long gone. the GBCB scene before it got outta hand and, uh, well, you remember the murals on the wall, the racetrack, yjr bathing beauties. I remember seeing the Laughing Dogs ( at convention hall and the Shirts there. I even made a bootleg cassette of the Shirts at the Fastlane ( and same with the Blondie show). those were the days. I found my way there from Patti Smith and then I could never leave. rIP Ron Ardito

  • Wayne,

    Thanx for the picturesque reminiscences!

  • I was the biggest fan of the Shirts after seeing them in the UK. I still remember writing to them at 435A 9th St Brooklyn ... as seen on TV! (Well, Youtube)

  • Yes, it's a historic house. I heard it's being used now as office space for a hospital or something.

    Thanks for commenting!
