Melisa Kelly was brought up on the East coast listening to Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Jazz and Soul by musical parents. After moving to Ayr she got the chance to go out and perform the music she was most influenced by. Over the past year she has been performing in and around Ayr, also hosting various open mic events and writing and recording in preparation for her first album.
Melisa also writes her own original music. Her inspirations include: Paloma Faith, Otis Redding, Macy Gray, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner.
