What a lovely video of Carnton ,
I visited there a few days ago & will certainly remember my visit. I am a Civil War & Victorian re-enactor with a huge heart for history & a deep appreciation for preserving the past. I have a Great (x4) Grandfather who fought in almost every major battle & also in the Battle of Franklin. I wondered walking the grounds of Carnton if I saw sights his eyes had seen? He was wounded & captured twice. He was 21 years old when he signed up for war in June if 1861. He

Death has filled every square inch of that house. Oh the stories! One night with a digital recorder would probably blow your mind. RIP keepers of conviction.
