  • For all the work, time, materials and mess, you may as well not use a single serve system at all. The whole point is you let the capsule take care of all that for you, and with consistency, freshness and quality control. Once you consider refilling single-serve containers, you are better off with a semi-auto espresso machine.

  • If you really want to save money get a coffee plunger. I bought a Nespresso for the convenience - especially in the mornings. I am sticking to Nespresso capsules.

  • Why buy an espresso machine if you are going to use regular coffee? Then save 100$ and buy a regular coffee machine and use your own coffee!!!!!!

  • vaya pitote monta para sacar un cafe pesimo.

  • not ecological ! you use aliminium foil

  • hay que ser judio

  • Hello from Nexpod!

    Try the Nexpod compatible capsules.

Nexpod has now a completely new capsule with is compatible with all Nespresso Machines, that can be used more times. Visit us at our internet site!

  • PODS are expensive: 0,3Euro per POD divided by 5 grams coffee content equals 66 Euro / kg - beans are between 7 and 20 Euro / kg.

If in your household you drink more than 4 coffees per day FORGET Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, Lavazza and any form of PODS.

Just buy a auto-espresso machine with grinder costing between 300 and 600 Euro. If you drink 0,5kg coffee per month, you will save (66-10)/2= 28 Euro each month, 336 Euro per year so you pay your machine in 1/2 years - after will be money for you

  • I could have ground my own beans and pulled you three espressos from my Gaggia machine in the time it took you to do that. And the quality would be far superior (those machines produce a fake crema from stale coffee). You can pick up a reconditioned machine off Gaggia for a decent price, too. You don't have to spend a fortune for a god shot.

  • it's easier if you sieve the cocoa so that you can make it thicker. And the hotel i stayed in Royal plaza on scotts singapore had the same machine it was for free so every morning i will drink at least two cups of it so delicious.

  • :S Herr derrr. The running costs per capsule, is cheaper then buying good quality beans, therefore you're getting just as good coffee, less mess, cheaper cost... Just saying, this is lame.

  • @Dftu

Shut up you hippy, carbon foot print my a**

Just get on with it and stop being a green geek. The world will end before this stupid carbon rubbish takes it's toll.

As for the video, your either poor, weird, or a mute. Why don't you talk? Plus you pit way too much coffee in that pod. Hence the water was almost unable to push through. Plus nespresso coffee is a million and one times better than cheap bulk Ming mong coffee.

Nice idea, just a bit pointless. If you love coffee enough to buy
