Can playing contact sports be a cause of dementia, Alzheimers, or other memory related diseases?

A new study commissioned by the National Football League and reported by the New York Times indicates that former players have a significantly higher chance of Alzheimers disease and other memory related problems.

  • The NFL wanted to kill HBO's Real Sports show when they began investigating concussions. They did two reports on it and concluded even the light concussions can affect the brain.
