Phillipsburg had Thomas the Tank Engine, which attracted thousands of kids and families all day. Easton had Heritage Day, which had cannons booming and bands blaring, also created enormous foot traffic. One look outside my Union Square window confirmed what my ears had told me-- this was a very big day-- probably the biggest of the year. I don't know if the Mayor, the Council, the PDA, or the UEZ were listening, but the formula for success was laid out for all to see. This video explains more, in my own humble words and flipcam HD.
