As I have told you those aren't assault rifles! Only two crimes have been committed with legally owned machine guns since 1934. The guns you are talking about are AR-15s, completely different.

Oh no, don't tell me that you are one of those "oh if someone start shooting back, they might shoot innocent people. And when the cops get there they won't know who to shoot." First, it takes the cops about 10 min. to get there. The average shooting lasts less than 20 sec. Also even if the good guy shoots a few other good guys, but still manages to kill the bad guy, wouldn't that save a lot more lives than just letting the bad guy slaughter everyone? Think about it...

Your job as a teacher is this, support our youth, teach them, and protect them. If a Lanza busts into your classroom with a couple Glocks you better protect the children or die trying thats how I see it.

Again, an AR-15 is not an "Assault Rifle" look it up. Also, the media and police first said that the AR-15 was found in the trunk of Lanza's car (video evidence of them pulling out AR-15 out of trunk), and later changed their story to that the AR-15 was used. They saw an opportunity to push their agenda and they did, hoping people like you wouldn't notice. Not trying to offend you, but does it make sense for Lanza to kill with the AR, put it in the trunk, then shoot himself inside the school?

Look I'm not a liberal, nor am I against guns in anyway, I'm just stating terms, not that I agree with them, and yes they are misused and twisted, but simply saying that the term is invalid will only get you so far with liberals, in order to talk to a liberal, you must understand what laws are around, the 1994 AWB instantiated the term "Assault Weapon." I was actually helping your case, as people were saying that an "Assault Rifle" was used, when it was not.
