A remarkable fusion of contemporary dance and Aboriginal culture, bringing together Bangarra Dance Company and The Australian Ballet.

This production was performed at Sadler's Wells in October 2008.

  • This isn't just any contemporary choreography though, it has a lot of Aboriginal culture behind it. I don't know if you've seen the dancing of Australian Aboriginals, but this pays homage to that and does it well.

  • Really bad orchestral performance of the Rite. Sounds like a MIDI synthesiser.

  • The women should be on average, not the men.

    Also it's really poor recording of the piece. Sounds like a MIDI file.

  • The Rite can be anything you want it to be... Why not feminine???

  • Is it the Rite of Sping? Because it looks like very much with the Pina Bausch coreography about this piece.

  • The male dancers are too effeminate, doesn't work with the The Rite - which is very heterosexual piece.

  • I expected more ...
