@jelliskiteie This tune hasn't been included in Basie-related collections recently published in the west (readily purchasable via Amazon or the like), so I presume it hardly can be found on the web. I found it occasionally in a jazz manual published in Russia some 15 years ago.

I used to have lots of Basie, and also an assorted array of artists performing Boogie

love it.....heard a lot as a kid as Dad played upright bass and we had a lot of piano friends....

@ivebeenthere1 I'm happy this recalled you that nice atmosphere in your family when you were a kid. I know there are styles of piano boogie, and Basie's style has been only one of them. I like VERY much what he has recorded with his rhythm sections in late 1930s, because there, to my opinion, he is recognized as most brilliant and swinging piano player. Thanks to those performances I fell in love to Count, and now I'm proud to have recorded a piece much like he himself played it.

Thanks! I do love the pieces Basie has recorded with his rhythm section before WWII. And no echo you may have guessed there, just pairs of notes, the first strong and the other (shorter one) VERY soft.

Nice! Chorus starting 1:20 strikes as very delicate, and stride that follows is so natural. What did you do to make your bass between 1:05 - 1:15 sound as if echoed? More Basie to your piano!
