@steelnpearls - Good deal. I was thinking that was likely the case, all of the Lewisville PD I've spoken with have been nothing but professional and good guys overall.

I live in Lewisville too, which is also a very nice city of atheists.

@steelnpearls - They don't think it's in the constitution, they know its origin is Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802, where the Founding Father wrote " I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State." - another fine Lewisville Atheist

It's so sad to see people who really don't know what's written inside the US Constitution as there is NO amendment saying "separation of church and state". NADA...so sad to say they miss a point to facts that make them get respect of their stance. Which btw, is their right to think that way but use facts and you look more knowledgable to the public.

Well, I went to this conference that was just using the church to have a way of listening to speakers about our nation.

And the Lewisville PD were there to make sure those picketing were NOT on chruch property but next to it on the public sidewalk and not into the service road at a speed limit of 50mph.

I live in Lewiville and we have a very nice city of God-fearing people. I am also a retired Deputy Sheriff.
