We were not well led by the Generals. At lower levels leadership was there in all wars, but the higher echelon was a comedy of errors, not just on the Pakistani side but on the Indian side as well.

Pakistan would have taken India by the jugular had Ayub not been persuaded to replace Gen. AH Malik with General Yahya Khan. That fateful decision delayed the Pakistani offensive to cut off the road to Kashmir for a vital 24 hours and put Kashmir out of Pakistan's reach till today.

That was a nice gesture from u. I really respect u for that. U r right, war is ugly. I used to hate Pak when I was younger, but now I sometimes wonder why we keep on hating each other even after 60 years of independence. India was divided and we got hurt when such a huge and magnificient country was divided apart. But beyond that I still dont know whether it was good or for bad as I beleive, it is a playground for top politicians on both sides for their personel gains.

not on tv. i have seen these soldiers, in reality. that should be enough. i didnt enjoy the sight. wars are ugly. very ugly some of my best friends are indians and not even the last thing is that i would want any of them get hurt, ever. i enjoy and laugh out the comments thats why i am here. the fact is that both our nations are proud and brave and hospitable beyond the thoughts of the western world. we should respect that and value each other. long india long live pakistan.

and u very well know that if India and pak got engaged in a war, it will not be just a war but a nuclear war as both sides have it and may be the starting of a third world war with other countries parting sides. And we know that if pak got away with Kargil, India would have been in trouble becos that was a brilliant design by pak army. Their next plan was to cut the roads between Leh and Poonch sector making difficult for the Indian army. But that was foiled. LONG LIVE INDIAN ARMY.
