Association for the Protection of Animals www.gcapa.org - Koda is a big boy that needs a loving and understanding home. He looks like a very big teddy bear and loves treats. He would be best around a family without small children. Below is some more information about the Akita breed.

  • is this dog still available???

  • Yep, very good boy, but since he is so big, he would not be good around children or other small animals.

  • Looks very much like my last Akita. We put him down about 2 years ago. He was a perfect friend and family member. Even with 2 other dogs still around things just aren't the same. Akitas have huge souls I guess. A wonderful breed.

  • Akita is the best breed in the world .

  • American Akitas are actually better looking, and better bred, (in my opinion), than the Japanese Akitas. The Japanese are breeding them smaller, and more fox-like. The American Akitsd favor the "Dewa" line, which are heavier boned, and more bear-like. I have owned Akitas since the 1950s, and just had to put down my last one at the age of 12. He was the very best, and had the long coat, pure white, and looked like a polar bear cub. RIP Puppy Dog.
