I wonder are there any games like Golden Sun for the PS3? and don't talk about FF, I already own FFXIII and thought it was a major disappointment compared to FFX and FFXII.

I really like the world and battle system as well as the gameplay in general.

I am missing a really good RPG like golden sun on the PS3, consoles focus too much on online shooters nowadays (don't get me wrong, I love online shooters (CoD, Battlefield, KZ etc.), but I really like to have good single player games as well)

@OGDutch ?? WTF? Golden Sun is not a type of RPG, its just a really unique RPG, you couldn't ask for ANY system to have a RPG like Golden Sun. Its like saying "i want more Halo like games on 360" and completely disregarding that Halo is not the norm of shooters. "consoles focus" ? Sony does not own Golden Sun or COD or Battlefield. To say a "consoles focus" that responsibility lies on the console publisher "Sony" and they actually released more RPGs published by them, then Nintendo or MS.

I just want a really good RPG, and all the active real time battles (or whatever the name is) are getting really boring to me, I prefer the turn based battles like in FFX on PS2 and the golden sun series on the gameboy

@OGDutch Its not a system thing, is just a changing in the times thing. If you want RPGs like that, look at the Persona 1, 2 (on PSP) or Persona 3 and 4 on PS2. As for PS3 i would look at Valkyria Chronicles. FFX again, was a one of its kind tern based game. It was (imho) the best in terms of turned based games of the FF series. Also look at the Xenosaga series for great turned based games.

you do know that the FFVII PS3 trailer was just a PS3 Tech Demo right.

LOL, very much so. Me and the rest of the world that seen it. But i bet all my money i ever make its going to happen at some point. If anyone knows square, they know they love money and re-releasing there remakes on other systems. FFIV was done 5 times. Once for PS1, once for Phones, once for GBA and now for DS and NOW for PSP....i mean are you really saying this is just a "tech" demo...as in its not going to happen......yup, Cause Advent Children and Crisis Core both bombed.

sony is really irritating me.....i originally bought my ps3 because i thought it was going 2 be the system for rpgs but the tables in that categorey have completely turned. ps3s quality is still the best by far so im happy about that. they just need 2 step it up with rpgs and it will be set

@OGDutch Hey man, I am totally with you. All these Shooters are great, but whatever happened to the old RPG's? Golden Sun, great series. The one for ds was kind of a disappointment to me though. Too easy and story wasn't that great. I got to the end then stopped. Final Fantasy X. My fav, game. There is no story more intense then that one. I've played it through over 20 times. They don't make games like those anymore..

is eternal sonata any good i bought it once with my 360 thought wow i must be a freakin girl or something cause i thought this would be good but i only played to like the rat fights anyone tell me if i should get this again ?

@OGDutch well i never played golden sun but there are 2 rpgs that i played for the ps3 that are pretty good resonance of fate is pretty fun even tho the story sucks and valkyria chronicles is a very fun game with a great story
