Almost 40 years ago at BYU, President Ezra Taft Benson warned Americans of a slow but steady movement to socialism in the United States. Benson taught that socialism resulted in a loss of personal liberty and ultimately led men away from God.

  • If you guys hate this man or hate Mormons so much then why do you watch it? I always get a kick out of Mormon haters or atheist because it seems they are so drawn to this. If you can't see a new world order agenda being pushed on the American people, you are blind. Look at the mountains of debt Obama has racked up? Look at the socialism agenda he is pushing. It's insane.

  • @PatriotWalker76 Read the Book of Mormon, and then follow Moroni's promise. (Moroni Ch.10). Moroni says to pray and ask God for yourself. You just have to have a desire to know, faith in Jesus Christ, and prayer with real intent to know.

  • @Kouruu0609 I think we are having three different conversations, or something, brother. To be clear: Nephi was a freedom-lover, and, like Joseph smith, he only seemed to get stronger when socialists/communists (like Laman/Lemuel) tried to bind him.

  • @jbrabec22 He was commanded. If you look at the timeline and what is happening in the other side of the hemisphere, you will know what i mean by commanded... and how not following, at that time, means getting destroyed by the hand of the Lord. His constant "interfering" is saving his brothers lives and giving them extra time to think their acts through and hopefully change. He's worried about losing his brothers' souls.

  • @Kouruu0609 no doubt! Nephi doesn't even hate socialists, he probably has pity on them much the same way a father has pity on his 12-year-old son who tries to beat other kids into submission. It really is pathetic and sad to watch socialists interfere (in vain) with their fellow mans' freedoms.

  • @jbrabec22 you will also read there how heartbreaking he pleads in prayer for his brothers. If I am to have brothers like that, I might have left them to condemn themselves. but he never gave up and lost hope that his brothers would change. How they beat him, how they tie him up. If I were in that situation and got loose I would have punched them heavily on their faces..or at that time. might have killed them. but he constantly saved them. showed them were they could hunt and get food

  • @jbrabec22 You will read in the book of mormon that he is constantly pleading his brothers to obey him, he didn't in anyway used force, only prayers and constant pleading... his grief was so great because his brothers are sinners and their father is deeply concerned about his other sons.

  • I am puzzled why a people who have been so specifically warned about the danger to our constitution in these latter days seem to overlook the fact that of all the candidates for the highest office in the land, only one decent honest man truly supports and defends the constitution of the united States in the tradition of the founding fathers. That man is Dr. Ron Paul. Wake up elders of Israel!

  • @DieOrBlink - Mormon rituals in the temple are good, they only serve mankind - they pack more to the stream of life if you will. I say "silly" because gang oaths/signs are so insanely hypocritical - they are bad, destructive to mankind and to self.

No Nephi was a gentle lamb, a servant of god and all mankind (i.e. a leader) - you do not understand the BOM if you think he was hungry for power.

  • @jbrabec22 Why is it silly for the Gadianton robbers to have secret combos and hand-signs, and silly hypocritical oaths they are willing to die for? but Mormons have Secret Combinations and hand signs, and silly oaths they are willing to die for too (Temple Rituals?) and couldn't one argue that Nephi was a control freak? He did tell his brothers that he was mightier than they were and they were to obey him... Sounds like he wanted control pretty badly? Please respond

  • @DieOrBlink - as you know the BOM contains countless accounts of wars, and struggles between freedom and bondage; the CF's (control freaks :) have similar attributes and patterns - Laman had pride, loved money and comfort, and so being a control freak upon poor Nephi was a way to gratify these things. Oh and the Gadianton robbers (gangs) with their secret combos and hand-signs, and their silly hypocritical oaths which they are willing to die for - there IS honor among thieves.

  • @jbrabec22 I've read the book of mormon twice.... where does it teach us how to uncover CF's all around us?
