Antigua Guatemala, better known as Antigua. beautiful city located 45 minutes from the capital city. still bears the marks of the earthquake that struck in 1773. It highlights the Spanish colonial architecture. It is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. It is a city to be visited by everyone.

Me and my daughter visited Antigua in 2006 . we liked this magnificent town very much. It is most recomended to visit there and Guatemala as well. Also this town is a World Heritage Site the butyful colonial old buildings and structures are not preserved at all and their condition is quite sad.

If every tourist, among those millions who are coming to visit Antigua, will volunteer to donate only 2 dollar to a national foundation for preserving those buildings, the town can be saved
