Mario Strikers Charged- Crystal Cup Part 1

This is the first piece of my friend and me completing the Crystal Cup in Mario Strikers Charged. We were playing really cheap, because the rounds require you get as many goals as you can in 3 minutes. I normally will not play cheap against a Human player. On another note, my Wiimote was going mad, but don't mind I fix it later on. ^^

This game if you don't already know, is a Mario sports game where Mario and friends attempt to obtain the Striker Cup in a series of tournaments of "old-fashioned" soccer.

There are the Captains who are main Mario characters like Mario, Peach, Bowser etc. who form a team out of the minor Mario characters (Dry Bones, Monty Mole, Toad etc.) which they are allowed 3.

You quickly notice in this game of Soccer there are no Yellow or Red Cards (excluding Diddy Kong's Special) You can sock the guy next to you and no referee will stop you, but that doesn't necessarily mean there aren't any consequences. The other team will receive a power-up (shown in top right and left corners respective to each team), they range from Green Shells to Chain Chomps, Red Shells to Starman, Banana peels to the Captain Specials (a picture of the captain that affects the game depending on the captain.) i.e. Mario goes Super Mario. You can also obtain power-ups by nailing someone with the ball when charged until the blue glow appears.

There are also Skillshots, a technique only sidekicks can perform. (depending on the sidekick they change) A Skillshot is a more aggressive attempt to score a goal. It occurs after a sidekick charges a shot to the max in the opponent's side of the field. ( you will see a blue light get larger and larger around the ball and then disappear followed immediately by a Skillshot.) i.e. Monty Mole digs under the ground and tries to sucker the goalie from beneath.

Yet, this doesn't mean Captains don't have any fun. Captain can perform Mega Strikes after charging a ball to the max in the opponent's side of the field. A so called "golf meter" will appear you want to move it to the left as much as you can and click to be able to shoot more soccer balls (ranges 3-6) and then hit closest to the orange marker when it comes to the right to determine the speed. The Captain will then jump sky high and with a special animation unique to the captain, smash the ball so much that it breaks in 3-6 balls flying at high speeds at the goal and the goalie.......has to stop them, and how many ever go in, is how many points the team gets. Like a Final Smash in brawl this can really turn the tables that can give up to 6 points. All mega strikes are the same except for the difference in the way they smash it.

One final thing, the ball can be "charged", hence the Title of the game. The ball changes colors as it charges and white is fully charged. The higher the charge the easier it it to score a goal. The ball can be charged by passing, chipping, and shooting the ball. The ball will gradually lose charge once no players hands, or should I say feet are on it.

@moogoesthepenguin Only the captain can perform the Megastrike, which is the one with the golf meter and the cutscene, however the sidekicks can perform unique skillshots when you charge B.

I know this is the NTSC version, because in the loading screen before a match starts on the PAL version, there is no background behind the characters. Just saying.

this is why I hate it everytime they give me wastelands to play on... I cant control any player too well. Also turn off player 3 controller if your not using it, or else its a waste of battery
