Its also used in the Europe so farmers get earlier daylight and so they can see what they're doing and start the day earlier.

I love daylight savings time, but I live in Canada and I like to take advantage of the 3 months with sunshine XD

i know bout day light saveings from when i was 5 in AZ only US state not to have it

@pokemonfan1richo That would be incorrect. Western Australia did have it for a few years to test it out, and then there was a state referendum roughly 2 years ago to decide if we should keep it or not. "No" won 55% to "Yes" 45%. So therefore we no longer have daylight savings time.

@otakubabe555 A. Daylight savings has nothing to do with winter. Your first point is irrelevant.

B. Its a very small % of the population that is awake for 5am (most just getting off work from the night shift) yet the vast majority of people are awake for 9pm.

Only a very small amount of people would enjoy early sunlight, and many many people would enjoy sunlight when its late. It makes sense to reschedule society to allow for more people to enjoy the day late in the day.
