You're over thinking everything. Your going to look American no matter what you dress like --so just be yourself! If you try too hard--you will just look and act sillly! Remember it will be chilly-- come March it will not be warm like Florida--so I'd bring layers of clothes and raingear. Not the nicest weather that time of year. Be prepared to freeze!
Over thinking :) say you're from Florida! I know I always like it when people are more specific :) and just dress how you usually dress! You won't look out of place xx
I usually tell people I am from "the USA" or "United States" and then sometimes I say the state if they want a more specific answer .. and the only places I've been so far are France & Poland, but as far as clothes- people dress well. No one wears t-shirts or sweats.. everyone wears like nicer jeans and more fitted shirts. Also, bring winter accessories. It might still be cold around that time of year. I'm so excited for you!! :D
PLEASE Take me with you!!!! Its my dream to find my scot-Irish relatives and a husband in Ireland lol. I'm so obsessed with it but I am only a few hundred dollars away from being able to afford to get a ticket there and back.... If I don't eat and if I find a nice bench to sleep on. :D
I'm from like near there...hahaha, Scotland. And we are closeee!
Say Florida, people obviously know where and what "The States" is. You really should just use your own accent say Ireland the way you would like. Wear what you want, there is not a 'dress code' just don't wear any Celtic/Rangers tops unless you want to be hit by a grenade. Everyone, just like in all countries of the world, has their own dress sense, go for like jeans and chucks or some shit. Hope it helps :) oh and no leprechauns!
