there was a burmese python in the toilet at the site we were supposed to stay it... this is our failed attempt at extraction (before we knew if it was poisonous)
Its not a job, its a hobby. I don't get payed to do what i do, i just enjoy doing it more than anything else. First off, all rattlesnakes are venomous, secondly, cottonmouths aren't rattlesnakes, they are pit vipers and there have been recorded deaths from cottonmouths. They can do some serious damage.
what are massassauga rattlesnakes are they venomous and whats the most shortest tempered rattlesnake you ever photographed and one more question cottonmouth ratlesnakes are they deadly can they cause damage ? that is some dangerous extreme work you do you must be extremely brave for what you do if possible would you care to send me some photos of snakes and rattlers you capture on camera i am just curious thats all if you can it would be greatly appreciated thanks
wow hey man that is some heavy duty work you do for a living i guess your love for snakes are there any endangered species of snakes out there and what are cottonmouths i hear there pretty dangerous i would not recognize one if i saw one i hear in some parts of ontario they have rattlers is that true ? what you do out there take nerves of steel i am from montreal and i go to this pet shop every now and then and i see this albino python she is very gentle i pet her from time to time
I have only got the opportunity photograph the venomous snakes in my area, so as far as they go, various subspecies of copperheads, umm, cottonmouths, timber rattlesnakes, and we have massassauga rattlesnakes in illinois but i have never seen any.
A herpetologist is a profession that consists of studying reptiles and amphibians. And field herping is going out in the wild and searching for reptiles and amphibians. "Herps" are our term for reptiles and amphibians. I get struck and bit almost everyday. But venomous snakes are a different story, i handle them with unbelievable amounts of caution and care. I will do everything in my power to go the rest of my life without being envenomated, but you never know what could happen.
Im not a professional snake handler, i know how to handle venomous and non venomous snakes properly, and i am working my way up to be a herpetologist. I just photograph reptiles and snakes and frequently field herp as a hobby and every now and then people buy them from me. I've been around snakes literally all my life. My dad was a herpetologist.
so your a professional snake handler ? the story about me encountering that snake thats no lie it really did happen at first i was petrified cause its a snake and since it happened when i was like 15 years old again i was petrified fucking shit myself but got up very gently and moved away the other story thats no lie also it happened guy picked up his snake got close and as he prepared bam struck him between his nose and cheek bone i never knew you were a snake handler where are you from
And there is a difference between trusting a snake and being careless and stupid while handling the snake. Trying to kiss it is aggitating the snake, its not a trust factor. All your gonna do is just piss it off. Trusting a snake would be more like free handling it and trusting that its not going to get defensive. But when you fuck with it like an idiot, then your asking for trouble. Of course they're unpredictable, but when you know how to properly handle them you don't need to worry.
their that dangerous shit man be careful
