@ubercrombie5 NU was my second-fav team (behind Oklahoma State) when it was the Big 8 conference. Brook back then was like Tim Tebow was at Florida, except not the marquee player/recruit. He was a man of faith and of God.
I saw Brook play up in Stillwater in the fall of '95 when they visited Stillwater, OK, and played the Cowboys. He was a precision player, and precision QB. The entire NU team was this: Class.
You were named after a great individual. Be proud.

I am 14 years old, and I am proud to say that I was named after Brook Berringer. My name is Brook Weber, and I've been a Husker fan all of my life. Under my birth bed, my dad slid a cutout of Nebraska turf. I was born on Husker territory, down here in Dallas. I've gotten crap all of my life for having a 'girl name', but I don't care. All these Longhorns don't understand why I'm proud of my name, and that's just fine.

i had the honor of meetin brook at a game. He was very polite and shock my hand and talk to me for a while. I will never forget that. i got his autograph that day to and still ave it

RIP Brook......we'll see you again for sure ....some shiny day.

This guy was tough as nails, I'll never forget him having to go to the hospital during halftime to get his lung drained, and then coming back, he is sorely missed

@PapioLV09 unfortunately every time I put a different song with it, it never saves. I'll try again though. The original song, fwiw, was "Time of your life" by Green Day until the music nazis took it away....

nobody said anything about him being the "next big thing" in the NFL, it was what they now call "upside" in the NFL. He had a potentially bright future and it was cut short by tragedy. That's the bottom line. End of story; end of comments.
